What to Expect
Blackwood Chiropractic cannot wait to welcome you as a new patient. From the moment you walk in, our Blackwood Chiropractors will greet you with a smile and genuine warmth.
We’ll ask you to come in a few minutes early so that you can fill in some new patient paperwork. We can verify any health care benefits you may have for chiropractic treatment.
Then, you’ll meet with your Chiropractor for a consultation and thorough examination including

- What can you do to help me?
- How long will it take?
- How much will it cost?
You will be given the answers in straightforward terms.
If we agree that chiro care is appropriate for you we can most often begin treatment right away. In some cases we may wait for the results of xrays or other diagnostic investigations before starting chiropractic care.

Veterans Affairs Cardholders Accepted
Do you hold a veterans affairs gold card? If so, you are entitled to free chiropractic care. All you need is a referral to us from your GP!
Your Second and Future visits
We want to know how you responded to your first chiropractic adjustment.
The first part of the treatment plan is aimed at getting your body functioning better, getting you back on track as it were. This will often require a few treatments close together. As you improve, the treatments will usually be progressively spaced further apart, until we reach the maximum benefit, we can obtain for you.
Once we reach that point, our next goal is to keep you functioning at that level, which normally involves periodic check ups and adjustments.
Free Chiropractic Treatment
You may be eligible for five FREE chiropractic treatments from Medicare. Anyone with a chronic musculoskeletal condition can ask their GP to refer them to us under the CDM (Chronic Disease Management) Scheme and can be given up to five treatments per year at the discretion of your GP.
